Payment technology provider Okto has partnered with online sports betting company Interwetten to introduce Okto.Cash in Germany. This new service allows Interwetten customers to fund their accounts with cash deposits made at over 14,000 retail locations across the country.

Major fuel and convenience store chains participating include Avia, Esso, Lotto, OMV, Q1, Shell, Tamoil and Westfalen. The collaboration provides Interwetten players with a convenient new payment method to convert cash into online funds.

This aligns with continuing preference for cash payments within Germany's iGaming market. "With Okto.Cash, our players can easily deposit cash into their Interwetten accounts from familiar locations, giving them unprecedented convenience and flexibility," said René Hartl, Interwetten's Head of Payment Operations.

Following the German launch, Okto.Cash is expected to expand across Europe. "This partnership underscores our dedication to expanding across the region and beyond, while delivering cutting-edge payment solutions that meet the needs of iGaming fans," said Mikhail Ovsepyan, Okto's Head of Germany.
